| What does Quadrivia mean? |
I came up with approximately twenty names for my company before settling on the 'Quadrivia' moniker.
The name Quadrivia is latin for four roads. In medieval times the quadrivium and trivium was the system of education which eventually evolved into our modern system of high school and college. There were the verbal arts: grammar, logic, and rhetoric, known as the trivium (three roads). The quadrivium consisted of the mathematical arts: arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music.
The quadrivium elements bear a strong resemblance to the work I do. They refer to schools of education: I am a fulltime Lecturer at the University of Bridgeport. The actual subjects are related to my work (keep in mind that computers are number processors):

Finally, www.quadrivium.com was taken. Therefore I adopted the plural form of quadrivium and Quadrivia Productions was born!

| What is the history of Quadrivia Productions? |
I started Quadrivia Productions in 1996 to provide Industrial Designers with professionally produced digital presentation materials to complement their technical drawings.
In 1997 I moved to Stamford, Connecticut and started teaching computer graphics to industrial designers at the University of Bridgeport. I also began providing technical support for Macintosh computers.
Today I continue providing all of my design, support, and teaching duties while always trying to find new challenges. Contact me to find out what computer graphic services and solutions I can provide for you. |
